Some penguins are able to expel their poop with such great pressure that it lands far away from their nest, thus keeping their homes tidy. Scientists calculated the pressure that penguins would need to send their poop flying a given distance, and this chart outlines the parameters they used in their model. Pug Immediately Regrets Buying Trampoline
A Seattle pug named Franklin saw a trampoline at Target and did what any other self-respecting American would in that situation — he slapped down his debit card and rolled that sucker home.
After a good hour scouting the perfect location and tending to some basic assembly, he was ready to hop on.
“He’s been bouncing for about five hours now,” says Gerald Robinson, one of about 40 onlookers who have encircled the hopeless pup. “You can tell he wants out, but he hasn’t been able to break the cycle. I sure hope he kept the receipt.”

AMAZING
Developed by international ad agency bbdo for the umino seaweed shop, design nori is a series of intricately laser-cut seaweed for rolling sushi. Each sheet of five designs— sakura (cherry blossoms), mizutama (water drops), asanoha (hemp), kikkou (turtle shell), and kumikkou (tortoise shell)— is based on an element of Japanese history or symbology, meant to bring beauty, good fortune, growth, happiness, and longevity. Because of the precision required in the cutting process, the seaweed itself is a thicker variety from the sanriku region of miyagi. Umino plans to use the leftover clippings to sell as furikake topping or recompile into other sheets. The project was commissioned to respark the sale of nori following the tsunami in japan of 2011, at a time when umino director hiroyuki umino notes that japanese are eating less seaweed than in the past.
